echo)) Student Pastor
I was born and raised in the mountains of Virginia. I moved to Wilmington in June 2003 as an Associate Pastor for a church plant in Wilmington. It was at that church that I would meet my wife, Deanna. I was laid off from the church on Christmas eve 2005. I started working for Walgreens in January 2006 as Manager in Training. I am currently the Store Manager of the Sunset Beach store. Deanna and I had the privilege of serving as youth pastor at First Baptist in Leland from June 2010 to June 2013. Shortly after this time, God led us to Crosswinds. Deanna and I both love the outdoors, camping, and fishing. I also enjoy hunting.
No, I have not been in one yet…
Wicked Tuna, River Monsters, The Legend of Mick Dodge, and Spongebob.
If I can shoot it, hook it, or catch it; I’ll cook it. It probably tastes like chicken. (Scott hates his rabbits?) The most unique food I ever ate was rattlesnake. And yes, it tasted like chicken.
I was a “working musician” during college gigging in two different bands on weekends. One of the bands I was in recorded two albums. My favorite band is the Christian rock band, Disciple. The most incredible artist and concert Deanna and I ever witnessed was Phil Keaggy…absolutely breathtaking and an amazing personal testimony!
I am constantly enthralled and encouraged with the Apostle Paul. It amazes me to follow Paul’s beginning, his conversion, his ministry, his martyrdom, yet we see his struggles, his challenges and his personal growth as he writes epistles during his life and ministry.
I was the youngest person to have cataract surgery at Surgcare in Wilmington in 2011 at 30 years old.
