"We don't stay inside the church"
At Crosswinds we believe the Church is not meant to stay inside the building. We make it a mission to serve as much as possible in the community. From Serve Days to local ministry collections, from delivering beds to volunteering with the Town, we simply do not stay inside the church. We'd love to tell you more about what COMMUNITY means at Crosswinds.
Bed Connect is a Crosswinds ministry that get twin beds out to families in need. We are connected with the Brunswick County Foster Care System and DSS as well as other local ministries who see this need. We are continually collecting TWIN sheet sets, blankets, comforters, and pillows. We prefer "neutral" colors like blue and grey. The team is also always looking for volunteers to help deliver and set up the beds. Also, as we see other needs in the homes we will have church-wide serve days throughout the year that will address and help other home needs. The is a fast growing team and ministry jump onboard today!
CURRENT COMMUNITY EVENTS
Between Mother's Day and Father's Day we always support Lifeline Pregnancy Center through their bottle campaign. Simply take a bottle or two home, fill it up with change, bills, or even a check (instructions are in the bottles) and bring it back to the church on or before Father' Day. Lifeline is an amazing local ministry that helps women who are in crisis pregnancy and may be thinking about abortion.
