The Worship Pastor will serve as part of a healthy, unified staff that values clarity, prayerfulness, and shared leadership. Purpose: The Discipleship Pastor is responsible for leading and developing Crosswinds Church’s discipleship pathway, with a strong focus on life groups, spiritual formation, and clear next steps for spiritual growth. This role exists to help people move from attending to belonging, and from belonging to growing as disciples of Jesus.
Reports To: Executive Pastor
Purpose: The Discipleship Pastor is responsible for leading and developing Crosswinds Church’s discipleship pathway, with a strong focus on life groups, spiritual formation, and clear next steps for spiritual growth. This role exists to help people move from attending to belonging, and from belonging to growing as disciples of Jesus.
Responsibilities Include:
Who We’re Looking For
- Leading and overseeing Crosswinds’ discipleship strategy, with a primary focus on life groups, spiritual formation, and next steps.
- Creating and maintaining clear discipleship pathways and on-ramps for people at different stages of faith.
- Recruiting, training, and discipling life group leaders and volunteers who serve within discipleship ministries.
- Providing ongoing care, coaching, and accountability for discipleship leaders.
- Developing systems and structures that support healthy, scalable discipleship as the church grows.
- Collaborating with the Executive Pastor, Lead Pastor, and ministry staff to ensure discipleship is integrated across the life of the church.
- Helping foster a culture of spiritual growth, relational health, and intentional disciple-making.

- A committed follower of Jesus who aligns with our mission, values, and theological convictions.
- A pastor with a clear calling to discipleship and spiritual formation.
- Someone who leads with humility, clarity, and relational wisdom.
- A leader who is both people-oriented and systems-minded.
- Comfortable building structure where it does not yet exist and improving what already does.
- A servant leader who models a growing faith and a lifestyle of discipleship both personally and publicly.
